Location

Saturday Nite Jive Group holds all of our meetings at the First Baptist Church in Boulder, CO. The address is:

1237 Pine St
Boulder, CO 80302

Our meeting locations are handicap accessible (some of our meetings are in the basement but a small elevator is available). If you need to use the elevator, ask one of the greeters at the ramp or door where you come into the church.

The church is located 2 blocks North of the Pearl Street mall on the corner of 13th and Pine. We do not use the front doors of the church — our entrance is the ramp off the alley at the northwest corner of the building.

Parking

We can only park in the 2 small parking areas off the alley (near the ramp we use as an entrance) or in the parking lot located about on the North side of Pine about 1/2 way between Broadway and 13th. On Saturdays only, we're allowed to use the 2 parking areas immediately to the north of the Baptist church.

Please don't violate our parking agreements with the adjacent churches as we may get in trouble and your car might be towed.

There is usually additional parking available on the street or there is also a City of Boulder parking lot at Broadway and spruce (one block South of Pine) and another structure at Pine and 11th. These parking lots are free on Saturdays but, if you park in metered curb parking in downtown, be careful as these expect you to pay until 7pm on Saturday.

Directions

From the South (Denver, Broomfield, Louisville, etc.):

1. Take US 36 into Boulder (US 36 turns into 28th street when you hit Boulder)
2. At the 3rd light (Canyon Blvd.), turn west (left) and drive about 16 blocks to Broadway
3. Drive through 3 lights (the last light is Pine) to the alley between the Lutheran church and a large parking area.
4. Drive down the alley and park, if you can, in either of the 2 small parking lots on your right - you will see the ramp and door for access to the Baptist church on your right.
   
   1. on Wednesday nights, we cannot park in any parking areas North of the alley
   2. on Saturday nights, we can't use the large parking lot on the northwest corner of the block but we are allowed to park in either of the 2 small parking lots to the North of the Baptist church.

From the North or East (Longmont, Ft. Collins, Lyons, etc.):

1. Head into Boulder on CO 119 - also marked as the "Diagonal" on some signs/maps.
   1. If coming from Lyons, head south on US 36 - the 3rd light coming into town will be CO 119 & Iris (it's CO 119 if you turn East, Iris if you turn West) - turn right (West) onto Iris
2. If coming in on CO 119, go straight at major intersection (28th Street or US 36). This street becomes Iris.
3. Iris dead ends into Broadway in about 1.5 miles - turn left (South) on Broadway.
4. In about 5 lights, you go up a hill and make a slight right turn. As you come down that hill you will pass Mapleton Avenue (no light). Go past Mapleton 1/2 block and turn into the alley between the church on the South side and the large parking lot on the North side of the alley.
5. Drive down the alley and park, if you can, in either of the 2 small parking lots on your right - you will see the ramp and door for access to the Baptist church on your right.
   1. on Wednesday nights, we cannot park in any parking areas North of the alley
   2. on Saturday nights, we can't use the large parking lot on the northwest corner of the block but we are allowed to park in either of the 2 small parking lots to the North of the Baptist church.

From the West (Nederland):

Gemerally, if you're in the mountains (west of Boulder - Boulder is saddled right up to the Front Range) you'll probably want to come via one of the routes above.  For example, if you're coming from someplace south of Boulder (e.g. - the ski areas, Idaho Springs, Central City, etc.) you'll take I-70 or US 285 back to Denver/Golden and then follow the directions from the South above.  If you're comming from Estes Park or points west and north, you'll come in through Lyons or Longmont and then follow the directions from the North above.

However, if you're comming in directly through Nederland (allow extra time for mountain travel):

1. Take CO 119 down Boulder Canyon into Boulder. After you get to Boulder, the 3rd light is Broadway.
2. Turn North (left) on Broadway.
3. Drive through 3 lights (the last light is Pine) to the alley between the Lutheran church and a large parking area.
4. Drive down the alley and park, if you can, in either of the 2 small parking lots on your right - you will see the ramp and door for access to the Baptist church on your right.
